Music Page
I do like music, but I think other people are way more interested in it than I am. I don't know too much about music, So I don't think I can be as critical to music as my other interests. Uhh, anyway, here are my thoughts and the music I've listened to.
Don't Tap the Glass - Tyler the Creator
Tyler the Creator is a strange artist but strange in a good way. I finally listened to Don’t Tap the Glass after a long time of procrastinating doing so. I like Tyler’s music and this album is another one I like. My favorite song is Big Poe because it sounds badass. I also liked the ending tracks that are more softer, as the album progresses to a more beautiful end. The whole album was a good listen and its another example that albums are meant to be listened to as a whole rather than a collection of singles. Also, the damn big eyes are freaking me out...
Audioslave - Audioslave
After Zach de la Rocha left Rage Against the Machine, the remaining band members teamed up with the singer from Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell. Being a fan of some RATM songs, I checked out this album and found it really good. The songs on this album can range from totally electric on songs like “Show Me How to Live” to beautifully somber on songs like “Like a Stone”. Chris Cornell is one of the best male singers I have ever heard. His voice brings these tracks to another level entirely and lifts up some of what would otherwise have been weak tracks.
Guts - Olivia Rodrigo
When I first heard of Olivia Rodrigo, it was when her song “Driver’s License” released and I did not like it at all, and still kinda don’t. However, I am somewhat open to listening to new music, so when Guts came out I decided to listen to it. I really like this album a lot. I am into this pop punk style Olivia has and I think these songs are well written and performed. She is clearly talented and I am excited for what Olivia makes next. Listening to Guts makes me pissed that this album lost to fucking Midnights by Taylor Swift at the Grammys.
GNX - Kendrick Lamar
Wow, did I like this album. After Kendrick destroyed and humiliated Dr*ke during their rap diss battle, I was excited for what he would release next. When GNX released almost out of nowhere, I was pleasantly surprised. Kendrick brings the same level of talent and energy into this new album. There are songs that are more serious, much like his previous albums, but there are also songs that are more fun and celebratory. Great Album, I would say that this is one of his better albums, but all his albums are good.
