You have to eat food 3 times a day, it might as well taste good. Thats why I started to get better at cooking. Take a look at some of my staple meals.
Spaghetti Alla Connor
This is my (soon to be) famous Spaghetti with meat sauce. Since I was a child, spaghetti has been my favorite food, stemming from my Italian heritage I assume. I have had many spaghetti dishes in my life, ranging from the fancy restaurant kind, all the way to the spaghetti-os (an abomination). I wanted to make a spaghetti that is tailored to my tastes, and while I am still experimenting on what works best, this is the usual recipe I go with. Start by cooking about a cup of chopped onions and garlic in medium heat til translucent. Then add the ground meat. The secret to my sauce is to season the meat. If you go with the italian sausage you might think it is already seasoned, but it is not seasoned enough! Once the meat is browned, add the can of crushed tomatoes and turn to very low. Taste the sauce as you season it, you’ll know it's seasoned well when it tastes good. Cook for atleast 40 min. Add cooked spaghetti and done :) Oh and you better mix that sauce with the spaghetti, DO NOT place it on top like a moron.
- Canned Tomatoes
- Italian Seasoning (oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, red pepper flakes) for sauce only
- Garlic powder and Paprika (for meat only)
- Salt and Pepper
- Ground Italian Sausage-or Ground Beef
- Garlic and Onions
- Spaghetti
- Parmesan (not optional)
Turkey Sandwhich
This is my basic Turkey Sandwhich I make. A sandwhich is a sum of it's parts, so make sure to get good ingredients. I'd get fresh sub rolls from the bakery for this. A dry sandwhich is a dead sandwhich, so be sure to use enough mayo and olive oil. The secret for a good sandwhich, is to massage olive oil, salt, and pepper into your vegetable toppings. Pair this with some kettle chips and fruit, and you have a outstanding sandwhich to save your lunch.
